Balou du Reventon

Reserve champion in his 70 day test - jumping index leader with five perfect 10.0s

Cornet's Balou unites the excellent pedigrees of show jumping hero, Cornet Obolensky, and Balou du Rouet's dam. Cornet's Balou demonstrates a fascinating technique and bascule over jumps. He is also a very forward-moving and careful horse that is a pleasure to ride. All these positive qualities were confirmed at his 70 day test in Adelsheidsdorf, where he achieved the highest jumping index score of 136.94 points and the second-highest overall index score. Cornet's Balou was awarded a perfect 10.00 a total of four times for free jumping, course jumping, jumping technique and jumping ability, plus a 9.0 for cross-country cantering.

Sire, Cornet Obolensky, is the second highest ranked stallion in the current FN breeding stallion rating with 165. He has already produced three champion stallions, 45 1.50 m show jumping horses and his offspring have chalked up over EUR 236,000 in lifetime competition earnings. Cornet Obolensky competed at the Olympic Games, he won the Samsung Super League Final twice and is one of the best modern show jumping sires. His dam, Georgia, produced exceptional stallion Balou du Rouet, who competed successfully in 1.50 m classes, was one of the best four approved German stallions in the Bundeschampionat final and received 30 day test scores of up to 10.0. Balou du Rouet passes on his superb qualities which gives Cornet's Balou an excellent advantage in establishing his own breeding reputation. Cornet's Balou has inherited the perfect gene mix from Cornet Obolensky and Balou du Rouet's dam. He's a young stallion with excellent breeding and competition potential.

Balou du Rouet

Balou du Rouet, Oldenburg silver medalist of 2005, is one of the best German horses of his age group. Equipped with maximum elasticity in his gaits, he completed an excellent Stallion Performance Test awarded with the top marks of 9.5 and 10.0 for jumping by the ‘foreign’ judges. He has continued his sporting career in supreme style, winning several classes judged on style and ability up to “M level”. He won the final qualification at the German Young Horse Championships with the top score of 9.2 and in the final was one of the four best approved stallions in Germany. Sire Baloubet du Rouet, currently one of the most successful jumping stallions on the international stage (individual gold medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, three-times World Cup Champion in a row, winner of many Grand Prix’s), has an exceptional pedigree. Grand sire Galoubet is son of the great stallion Almé. On the dam’s side, Balou du Rouet is directly related to the founder of the bloodline “Cor de la Bryere” from Holstein through Rantzau. The similarity can be seen in Balou du Rouet’s jumping style and ability. His stunning dam Georgia is by the increasingly popular Contender son, Continue. Once again, Balou du Rouet emphasises his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement with numerous foals at many different auctions. This year we look forward to seeing his offspring at their first approvals. His first crop of youngsters confirmed their quality at the approvals; one of his sons out of a Sandro mare was the most expensive premium stallion at the Oldenburg Approvals in Vechta.

THE FIRST APPROVED SON OF BALOU DU ROUET TO STAND IN THE US!
16.1 1/2 Hands, Bay Sabino

Incredible athletic ability from both his sire Balou du Rouet and the mare's sire Argentinus, beautiful movement and perfect conformation. Most importantly though is the brain! The Argentinus on the mare side is what really makes the difference because Argentinus is well known for putting great minds on his offspring and Bliss's mother Ornella is the calmest, most level headed horse I have ever encountered. So while Bliss's athletic ability is obvious it is his great mind that will win the day.

Bliss MF is approved BWP, Hanoverian, RPSI, Oldenburg GOV, sBs and Westphalin.

After training with John Brown,  where Bliss MF was showing in the training Jumpers and getting lots of blue ribbons, he did one year of training with Jessica Miller in Dressage. Then went into training with Glenn Hartigan of EurImports, to prepare for the 70-Day Stallion Testing, where he was Reserve Champion.

Corlando
owned by Triad Farms

Corlando
Calypso II / Rinaldo / Landvogt

Origin: Corlando’s sire Calypso II descends from the legendary Anglo-Norman, Cor de la Bryere. He is quoted as being “one of the few genuinely impressive stallions of German competition horse breeding and one of the greatest Holstein foundation sires following the 2nd World War .” He is highly integrated in the pedigrees of some of the best Hanoverians and Holsteiners, exceeding 200 daughters, numerous approved sons, and countless performance horses. His impressive stature and kind temperament were prepotent in his progeny, the most influential being Calypso I & II, Calando, Caletto I &II, Cicero, and Corrado I. Calypso II is clearly his father’s son and is accredited for producing jumping horses of insurmountable scope and ability. He produced Contender, whom was the undisputed winner of the 1987 Adelheidsdorf stallion performance test and the sire of MANY approved sons. Interestingly, both Contender and Corlando carry Ramiro in their dam’s pedigree!

Ramiro is another legend seemingly needing no introduction. As with Cor de la Bryere, he is seen in the pedigrees of today’s most accomplished breeding and performance horses. It is often said among breeders that “you can never have too much Ramiro.” He was a successful international showjumper under rider Fritz Ligges and stamped his get with the finest of jumping abilities. It is not to go un-mentioned, however, that he was also a fine sire of dressage horses. Rinaldo, one of Ramiro’s 70+ approved sons, sired a dressage Derby winner in 1987, as well as Corlando’s dam Navenna.

History/Performance:   Corlando's performance scores designate him a Class I stallion, with above average individual scores, including a highly regarded 10 for jumping ability undersaddle!

Escapade is a 2001, 16.2 1/2hh, Hanoverian stallion imported to the United States from the renowned Ludwig Decker farm in Germany. The famous Hanoverian sire Grannus - one of Escapades ancestors, was born on the very same farm. We selected Escapade because of his flawless conformation and outstanding movement. Following the family legacy, Escapade’s power, grace and sincere temperament are now being passed on to his offspring. Escapade’s amazing athletic ability and outstanding work ethic is also very potent in his foals.

At the early age of three, mare owners could already see the value of Escapade’s proven bloodlines and perfect conformation, and his first foal crop was born in 2005. Escapade bred 35 mares in 2006 and we are excited to see these offspring develop into top Hunter competitors. Many of his foals are already dominating the Hunter Breeding divisions in nation-wide competition with unprecedented scores and remarks from the judges.

Escapade began his training and show career under the guidance of Scott Hoffstetter and Tommy Serio. Due to a highly demanding breeding schedule Escapade’s show experience had been limited. However, in his short career, this young stallion has already earned numerous championships at several of the nation’s most prestigious shows, including his most recent win in the Low Hunter division with Tommy Serio at Wellington out of more than 20 in the class.

Escapade received the coveted Gold Medal at the American Warmblood Society Inspection with a Supreme Elite score of 84%. Debütant's dam sire, Adlerorden traces back to the thoroughbred stallion, Adlerschild XX, who is the dam sire of the 3 time European jumper champion Deister, ridden by Paul Schockemöhle. Adlerorden is also the sire in the third generation of the stallion Sandro Song, who sired the champion stallion Sandro Hit, the world champion of the 5-year old dressage horses 1998.
Paparazzo is an elegant stallion with fabulous hunter movement, "picture-perfect" jumping style and an exceptional disposition.

Popeye’s Dam side combines the two mare lines 18b1 and the 1858. Eloretta is by L Ronald who produced over 100 top mares, and has proven to be an excellent mare sire. Some of these mares are mothers of the great stallions Libero, Lord Incipit, and Larno. Popeye also passes on the traits of his Grandfather G. Ramiro Z. Ramiro was the top stallion of his performance year excelling at the puissance jumping over 2.20m and competing internationally in many Nations Cups and Grand Prix’s. Ramiro posesses Thoroughbred blood top and bottom to produce tall elegant offspring with the top line of a Thoroughbred. Eloretta's mother, Sanremo is by the great stallion Farn who has been one of the most influential stallions in Dutch breeding, producing most notably the great stallion Nimmerdor who was named stallion of the century.

Popeye’s pedigree combines some the top bloodlines. He produces foals that carry the scope of G Ramiro Z, the mind, conformation and carefulness of Voltaire and the old blood of Farn to produce the next generation of top sport horses.

Approved GOV, Oldenburg NA, RPSI, Westphalian, and Mecklenburg. Nominated IHF.
Redwine's Full Pedigree Redwine is a modern, elegant black Hanoverian stallion possessing sheer beauty and presence of a class rarely seen. He completed the 30 day and 70 day testing in Germany and was awarded admirable scores in all areas, most notably rare 10's for character, constitution and rideability. His striking appearance is accentuated by his lovely hunter movement and impressive style over fences.  Due to his popularity with mare owners, Redwine has had little time for competing, but most recently he has been showing with great success in the hunter ring with Peter Pletcher.

Redwine has quickly established himself as a consistent producer of incredibly beautiful, correct foals with a significant trademark of stunning heads, long, shapely necks, and gorgeous toplines. His foals also share his noble charm and quality of disposition. This marked prepotency has enabled him to reliably improve on mares of virtually any type. His foals have been well-received at inspections across the country, with a large number being awarded site champion designations.  In only two years of breeding he has produced some of the highest scoring foals in the country! Along with incredible good looks and temperament, Redwine foals are stamped with elastic, cadenced movement of hunter type. They are proving to be desirable candidates for the hunter breeding ring while awaiting debut in their under saddle careers. In 2010, Redwine shared the Leading Sire Award at the Sallie B. At his performance test in Germany, Romantic Star received a 10 for his character, 9's for temperament, willingness, and 8's for constitution, walk, canter, and rideability.  His jumping technique and talent earned him a rare nomination to the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program, to which only the most elite stallions are mares are invited after accomplishing stringent requirements.  Romantic Star's prowess in this area should come as no surprise, considering his pedigree represents many of the most sought-after jumping talents lined up like a string of pearls.

As you watch him jump with knees tucked into his throatlatch, and hear the gasps from the crowd, his popularity as a sire of noteworthy hunters and performance horses is confirmed.  Romantic Star has proven his worth in the breeding shed, producing many premium awarded offspring who have then gone on to compete successfully in not only the hunters, but jumpers and dressage as well. He also has won Get of Sire at Upperville; his foals have proved to be fashionable in the hunter breeding arena as well..
